ABOUT US
We are the Business of Science Class at the University of Richmond.
The seventeen students that comprise our living-learning community share a passion for exploring how microfinance and biotechnology can be used to solve financial hardships and health issues, respectively. The Save a Mom Project is our initiative to improve the quality of life for women in the Dominican Republic.
Our partner, Esperanza International, is a non-profit, Christian microfinance organization in the Dominican Republic. The Organization provides small loans to disadvantaged women so that they may initiate business ventures. Esperanza also offers complimentary services such as dental and cervical health screenings to its associates.
